What does Ramona Pride Look and Feel Like?

Today marked yet another remarkable day at Ramona Junior High School — the return of the Science Fair! After a long pause, our students displayed their creativity, curiosity, and hard work through projects and presentations that truly embodied our motto: Ramona Pride.
Hands-on learning experiences like the Science Fair offer benefits that go far beyond the classroom. As seen by many throughout the day, students walked about the campus carrying their project with pride eagerly looking forwards to the time when they get to present to their peers and adults on campus. Student projects featured experiments and problem solving. These experiences fostered analytical skills and innovation through topics such as chemical reactions, clean energy, health and other areas. Perhaps more importantly, students actively explored concepts, asked questions applied and knowledge in real-world contexts. They all had an opportunity to present their work which further developed their public speaking skills and self-confidence.
Events like these remind us that education is most powerful when students take ownership of their learning. We are proud of their efforts and grateful for the support of families and staff who make these opportunities possible.
Shout out to Mr. Universe for spearheading the effort!
Thank you for continuing to champion hands-on learning and helping us nurture the next generation of thinkers and innovators.
