We’re excited to have you join us as we kick off a new school year. This year, our Back to School Night theme is “A Night to Walk in Your Child’s Footsteps”. The event is designed to give parents and guardians a chance to experience a day in the life of your junior high student and  walk through their schedule, meet their teachers, and learn more about the school environment that supports their academic and personal growth.   Here’s a look at the EVENING’S SCHEDULE:
 
5:00pm – Welcome Presentation
The evening begins at 5:00 p.m. with a brief welcome and overview of the night’s schedule from our school administrators. Special guest speakers include representatives from Paper Tutoring Resources which is a great resource available to your child. This free service gives students 24/7 access to live, one-on-one help from experienced tutors. Whether your child needs help understanding tough concepts, getting feedback on a writing assignment, or finishing homework, support is always just a click away.
 Also joining us this year is Mr. Dee Hankins who will provide a brief overview of how the program 
 “Resilience is Everything” works and how your child can start using the opportunity to support their learning. Mr. Hankins inspires students and families alike to embrace resilience – the ability to bounce back and thrive through life’s challenges. This is a presentation you won’t want to miss!
 
6:00pm – Classroom Visits 
Following the presentation, you’ll head into classroom visits, starting at 6:00 p.m. Each class period will be 10 minutes long, with a 4-minute passing period between each one. During these sessions, teachers will share classroom expectations, curriculum overviews, grading and homework policies, and other helpful information to set the tone for the year.
 
Please note, PE classes will meet in the PE classrooms, not on the blacktop with Ms. Rogers in Room 12 and Mr. Mehaffie in Room 14.
