Former Ramona AVID Students Return to Inspire Families During AVID Parent Night

Ramona Junior High School was proud to welcome back several former students who returned to campus as members of a student panel during our recent AVID Parent Night. These outstanding students shared their personal AVID journeys and reflected on how their participation in the program helped prepare them for success in high school, college, and future careers.
During the panel discussion, students spoke about the academic skills, organization strategies, leadership opportunities, and college-going mindset that they developed through AVID. They also provided real-life examples of how AVID has helped them become more confident, self-advocating, and college and career ready.
The information shared by AVID staff from Ramona Junior High School and Don Lugo High School, combined with the student-led panel discussion, provided families with valuable insights into the importance of preparing students for future success. Attendees left with a clearer understanding of the opportunities available through AVID and the positive impact the program can have on students' educational journeys.
Ramona AVID is grateful for the continued partnership and commitment of our families, staff, and the Don Lugo High School feeder community in supporting our students. We extend a special thank you to our former students for returning to inspire the next generation of AVID scholars and demonstrating what is possible through hard work, perseverance, and dedication.
